Cacao nibs (Theobroma cacao) are some of the most rich high-antioxidant foods. This is due to the phytonutrients available. The antioxidants help absorb the free radicals that cause damage in the body. these phytonutrients are similar to those found in grapes, berries and tea. Cacao nibs, when consumed are a high source of plant-based iron, magnesium, calcium and B vitamins.
Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) acts systemically as a smooth muscle relaxant. It has been found to balance blood sugar levels, and, as a carminative, is warming to the intestinal tract. The volatile oils in cinnamon are antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral.
Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a stimulating tonic for the digestive system. It has been found to reduce cramping, gas and nausea.
